Come June, and the markets bustle with students shopping for books, notebooks, uniforms, umbrellas, and raincoats. But not every child is fortunate enough to afford these school essentials. A request came through Social Awareness Advocacy & Development Foundation to Rtn. Usha, seeking support for providing school uniforms to the children of Manav Children Home in Panvel. SAAD is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of underprivileged women and children. In 2018, it established Manav Children Home, an open shelter home that offers care for homeless and deprived children. On 26th July 2025, school uniforms were distributed to the children—custom-stitched, since the students attend different schools. The donation was made possible through Ravi, a relative of Rtn. Usha. The joy on the faces of the children, proudly dressed in their new uniforms, was heartwarming. A big thank you to Rtn. Usha for facilitating this thoughtful and impactful donation!
