Beach Clean-up after Anant Chaturthi

Ganpati Chaturthi celebrations across India are truly unmissable. But have you ever wondered what happens on the last day of Ganpati puja? The results are heartbreaking. Thousands of idols are immersed after the processions end and the rivers and beaches across India are left dirty. As devotees bid farewell to Lord Ganesh on the final day of Ganesh Chaturthi, beaches across Mumbai were left in a mess. Debris of idols laid strewn across Mumbais beaches. But this year situation was little better as most of the small Ganapati idols were immersed in artificial lakes. On 7th September, RCMM, in collaboration with RC Bombay Uptown, RC Wadala East, and Rotaractors of RCKCM, organized a beach cleaning drive near Shivaji Park. The initiative saw the active participation of 10 Rotaractors from RCKCM and 3 members from RCMM. The activity brought immense satisfaction to all involved and concluded with a wholesome breakfast.
