The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), the cutting-edge R&D wing of the Tata Memorial Centre, is located amidst the serene foothills of the Sahyadri mountains in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Rotary Club of Mumbai Mahim is proud to share that a spectrophotometer has been donated to ACTREC through the generous support of Rtn. Julina Karkhanis and her friend Shubhada Kulkarni. It was officially inaugurated on 7th July, 2025 in presence of Rtn. Julina’s sister and Shubhada. This crucial equipment will aid researchers in performing accurate quantitative analysis of biomolecules—critical in studying cancer cells, monitoring drug responses, and advancing molecular diagnostics.
